Rockets Vs Mavs LIVE Postgame Mailbag: Kevin Durant USAGE Concerns, Amen Thompson's ROLE & More

Houston Rockets ignite preseason optimism with Fred VanVleet’s sharp shooting and Kevin Durant’s evolving role. Can their revamped backcourt—and a deeper bench—propel them past last season’s 52-win ceiling?

Host Jackson Gatlin (@JTGatlin) hits bonus postgame content tackling LIVE listener mailbag questions about Houston’s commanding victory over the Dallas Mavericks, spotlighting VanVleet’s veteran leadership, Reed Sheppard’s offensive versatility, and Bruce Thornton’s instant impact. The conversation unpacks Ime Udoka’s new rotation strategies, the importance of ball movement and communication, and the strategic rest for key players like Steven Adams and Marcus Smart. With emerging star Tari Eason hungry off the bench and questions swirling around Durant sharing touches, the Rockets’ roster looks primed for growth. Are fans prepared for potential minute squeezes and rotational adjustments as the regular season looms?
