火箭队凯文·杜兰特对阵独行侠上演个人扣篮大赛

The Houston Rockets were without Alperen Sengun for their NBA Cup clash against the Dallas Mavericks. However, Kevin Durant has suited up, and he got cleared for takeoff.

The 38-year-old showed he still had those hops as he blew by PJ Washington on a drive. He then threw the ball down all over Mavs center Daniel Gafford for a jam that wouldn’t have been out of place in a slam dunk contest.

Durant then gave Gafford a fierce staredown in the aftermath as the Rockets bench exploded in excitement behind him.

Durant finished for 28 points, five rebounds, and one assist. Unfortunately for him, though, his efforts without Sengun came up just short as the Rockets fell to the Mavs, 116-111. That was the Rockets’ first defeat of the season as they dropped to 5-1. With the Rockets’ loss, the upstart Memphis Grizzlies are now the only undefeated team left in the NBA.

On the other side, the dynamic duo of Kyrie Irving and Cooper Flagg led the way for the Mavs as they had combined for 68 points. Gafford added 18 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks, and one poster care of KD.

Despite his advancing age, Durant is still as consistent as ever. With the 28 he dropped against Dallas, he has now scored 20 points in five of his first six games. In the one game where he didn’t do so, he had 18.

Durant and the Rockets will look to bounce back against the significantly shorthanded Oklahoma City Thunder on the second night of a back-to-back.
