The Chicago Bulls lost 100-104 to the Memphis Grizzlies tonight in a preseason matchup headlined by two first-round picks, Caleb Wilson and Cameron Boozer.

While Boozer and the Grizzlies got the last laugh with the win, Wilson had a highlight-reel moment in the final minute of the fourth quarter that went viral on social media.

NBA fans saw this move and filled social media with comments about how clutch Caleb Wilson’s second-half performance had been until that point, before the Grizzlies barely snuck away with the win.

Chicago Bulls fans were especially impressed by the effort their future superstar showed down the stretch, turning a disappointing first half into an almost memorable performance.

Caleb Wilson dropped 20 of his 21 points in the second half after scoring just one point in 15 minutes in the first half. He also finished with four rebounds and one steal, shooting 7-for-17 from the field (41.2% FG) and 5-for-11 from the three-point line (45.45% 3P).

Unfortunately for the Bulls’ fans, he couldn’t cap off the effort with a game-winning shot, missing a clutch, lead-taking three-point attempt with less than five seconds left. After the loss, Wilson spoke about the shot and why he took a risky three-pointer instead of a safer two-point attempt.

“We’re all trying to go home. Trying to end the game right there… I’m going for it all, every time,” Wilson confidently said.

Despite the preseason loss, Caleb Wilson’s viral ankle-breaker against the Grizzlies gave Bulls supporters a preview of his thrilling potential. His explosive second-half performance showed his scoring ability and confidence under pressure.
