Marcus Smart's IMPRESSIVE Rockets Debut Vs Mavs | Reed Sheppard's CONFIDENCE On Display

Houston Rockets fans get their first look at Marcus Smart, who delivers an electrifying debut despite a 132-115 preseason loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Can Smart’s relentless defense and playmaking elevate Houston’s second unit and change the team’s culture? Host Jackson Gatlin (@JTGatlin) spotlights Smart’s two-way impact, his chemistry with Clint Capela in the pick-and-roll, and whether the veteran guard’s shot selection is a concern moving forward.

Reed Shepard’s aggressive shooting and Jabari Smith Jr.’s newfound fluidity headline a game full of intriguing questions for Ime Udoka’s roster. Key topics include Amen Thompson’s ups and downs as lead facilitator, effective defensive schemes to shelter Shepard, and Capela’s potential resurgence playing alongside Smart and Fred VanVleet. With transition defense and turnovers plaguing Houston, Gatlin examines how these preseason lessons could shape the Rockets as opening night approaches. Is this the start of a new identity in Houston?
